Vanitha is a pioneer Dramatherapist in Malaysia. She has 18 years of experience as a Psychotherapist and Dramatherapist. She has presented workshops, trainings, forums and papers in the United Kingdom, USA, India, Lebanon, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. Vanitha taught various Psychology courses at university level and is also involved in academic writing of practice of Dramatherapy/Psychotherapy for professional journals and textbooks. She developed the syllabus for the entire Diploma in Psychotherapy program for Tunku Abdul Rahman College in Malaysia.
She was also the head of a home for over 70 underprivileged children in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Vanitha received her Master in Dramatherapy from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom and her Master in Psychology from Pittsburg State University, USA. She has been an Indian Classical dancer since the age of 4 and still dances and also plays the flute. She is also a certified yoga instructor.
She incorporates all of her interest, yoga, dance/movements and mindfulness practice into her work as a dramatherapist and psychotherapist.
Vanitha is multilingual. She communicates in English, Malay and Tamil.
