Service Description

NOW BOOKING for JANUARY 2024 Welcome to your practice of relaxation and calming the wind element within. Kunye is the ancient healing art taught in Traditional Tibetan Medicine. The term Kunye comes from two Tibetan words: “ku” means oil, and “nye” means to perform massage. So fundamentally, Kunye means “applying massage with oil”. Kunye Massage is popular in Tibet and surrounding countries applied by professionally trained practitioners and local healers. The treatment is used to tackle a range of health conditions, such as psychological disorders, stress and anxieties, tight muscles and joints, digestive problems, insomnia, and headaches, among a range of other conditions or discomforts. This Pay-What-You-Can service will be offered to clients of Therapy Cooperative as an additional practice to the work you are doing with Aleksandra, Hattie, Vanitha, and/or Todd. Kunye massage is restorative and relaxing. It is a practice of calming the nervous system. Thank you for caring for yourself in this way. I am looking forward to our time together. INFORMATION: When: There are 4 openings each week. See booking calendar for days and times. Where: Therapy Cooperative - Suðurlandsbraut 32, 108 Reykjavik - Iceland Who: Adults 21 years of age and older. Duration: 90 minutes Facilitated by Todd FEE: This is a pay-what-you can service offered to all active Therapy Cooperative client. The suggested donation is 2000 kr. to 5000 kr. per meeting to cover supplies and facilitator’s time. Cash only. At my current scope of practice, you should NOT get a massage from me if you are under the age of 21 or have any of the following: Skin issues or skin condition Cuts or open wounds Bruises Burns Varicose veins Indigestion Strong fever Broken bone Blood clots Pregnancy Kidney or liver condition Cancer Any recent surgery or chemotherapy Inflammation Hypertension Active infection Hernia

Cancellation Policy

IMPORTANT: Please refer to your therapist's Disclosure and Intake form regarding their current cancellation policy. This form may be found on the booking page of the website. If you are unable to keep your appointment for any reason, you must give advance notice of cancellation. Otherwise, you will be personally responsible for paying the fee for that session. It is considered a "no-show" if no communication is made 15 minutes into your scheduled time and the session is automatically canceled. All session cancelation requests must be emailed to your psychotherapist. Verbal requests are not considered confirmation and the client is responsible to follow up.
